Ex Nottingham Forest & Leicester City defender, Alan Rogers joins Jamie & Football Analyst & Sports Phycologist, Christy Holly to give an honest, brave account of what life is like after professional football.
Alan talks openly about the challenge in integrating back into normal life after his career had finished. He gives details on the impact his career has had on his mental health and how seeing a recent interview by goalkeeper, Chris Kirkland encouraged him to talk to those close to him about some of his own struggles.
He also talks about his experiences with the PFA and how some bad financial advice has left him short of his £500k pension.
This is one of the most powerful and important podcasts of this series.
